eToro this week released what they called the “new advanced filters” which can help you discover the traders that meet your preferences. You can now Filter by risk level or customize your search to refine results by Average Position, Leverage, Weekly Drawdown, Winning Weeks, Win Ratio, Gain, Min. # Trades and Exposure.
After disabling the advanced filter for a few weeks while the functionality was being “updated” it was certainly good to get the functionality back. However we kind of fail to see the “new” part to it since the only difference we noticed compared with the previous eToro Advanced Search is that the Average Trade Duration was removed. To us this was probably one of the most important indicators since it can easily help to identify whether a trader is a ‘daytrader’ or long term system trader. Hence we’re disappointed that this was removed, though as we mentioned before, the Avg Trade Duration functionality was not working properly (i.e. not returning the expected search results) and hence we have a feeling this was the main reason this was removed in this “update” to the Advanced Filters. Hopefully it will make a re-appearence in the next release. In the meantime, it’s great that the Advanced Filters are back as they are the best starting point to find the best eToro Gurus that match your trading requirements.
